Why does the output on paper look so faded?

This is part of the magic of sublimation!

Even though the print looks pale and faded, the final print has superb vibrant color. It always surprises people seeing it for the first time. We are using special sublimation paper and sublimation inks. The paper must thoroughly absorb the inks. Sublimation papers are matte and highly absorbent. During the sublimation process, they also need to release the ink. For these reasons, the print always looks pale and ‘washed out’.
